Zagope - Construções e Engenharia S.A. is a company specialized in public construction.
Since its foundation, in 1967, Zagope has participated in the development and modernization process of the infrastructure network in Portugal. In 1988 Zagope was acquired by the Andrade Gutierrez Group, a Brazilian group with an outstanding international presence in public construction, as well as in the telecommunications, infrastructure concessions and energy sectors.
As of 2004, after being put in charge of internationalizing the Andrade Gutierrez Group, Zagope opened up new markets in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East. This process made it possible to substantially improve its portfolio, business volumes and results. In a relatively short period Zagope has consolidated its position among the top three companies in the construction sector in Portugal.
