President of the Republic of Cameroon meets Andrade Gutierrez

On an official visit to Brazil, Paul Biya, President of the Republic of Cameroon met representatives of four great Brazilian companies, including Andrade Gutierrez (AG). The occasion was widely covered by international media.

Infra-structure, telecommunications, energy and agriculture were some of the topics on the meeting agenda. AG was represented by Engineer Jorge Mansur, the director of the Group for the market of Cameroon. Mansur declared this meeting to be an opportunity to forge closer relations with the Cameroonian government. AG has already made itself present in the African country in projects such as the road Ngaoundéré-Mberé and the pre-qualification of the construction of the Lom Pangar Dam. 

First stone laid in Saraj, Libya in July

The beginning of the execution of urban infra-structures in Sarraj, Libya, was marked by a ceremony in July, with the present of important representatives from the Libyan Government. Apart from the placement of the first stone of this important project, the event also included a solemn moment with a hearing of the National Libyan Anthem and a recitation from the Qur’an. There was also a brief explanation of the project, offered by representatives of the owners (House Infrastructures Board), the Secretariat of Works of Sarraj, AECOm (representative of the client), CM/CS (Supervision) and of Andrade Gutierrez/Zagope.  The AG Group has an active role in the development plan of Libya, specifically in urban infrastructures projects, having been awarded contracts in Souq Aljummah, Gargarej and Fella, in the city of Tripoli.

 

Bituminous Concrete Control Process in Madeira certified by APCER

 

Zagope has concluded the project for the Bituminous Concrete Control Process Certification, obtaining the CE marking for its production centre in MadeiraIsland. This six-month process culminated with the promotion of an external audit by APCER (Portuguese Certification Association) and the consequent awarding of the certification, as established by Portuguese and European Community legislation.
