João Martins
CEO

João Martins has nearly 30 years of professional experience, always in large companies in the Construction and Engineering sector. He started his career in the financial area, holding different position until he became CFO in 2002. In 2003, he moved to the company’s business area and was responsible for leading the creation of the infrastructure investment sector. He joined Group Andrade Gutierrez in 2011, as Global Head of AG’s Structured Business Unit and was responsible for developing and implementing PPP projects. In 2017, he assumed the Presidency of Zagope.

He has a degree in Business Administration from the University of Salvador – BR, an MBA in Finance from IBMEC – BR and an Executive Advanced Management Program (AMP) from Wharton School- USA.

João Martins é a native speaker of Portuguese and fluent in English.

JORGE BASTO
Board of Directors

Jorge Basto is a Member of Zagope’s Board of Directors and is responsible for the business development and implementation of infrastructure projects in Portugal.

Before joining Zagope, he had the opportunity to develop and implement several large-scale infrastructure projects and industrial units.

Jorge has a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Coimbra – Faculty of Science and Technology (Portugal) and has several specializations in construction planning and management.

ANTÓNIO MÁRIO
Board of Directors

António Mário is a Member of Zagope’s Board of Directors and is responsible for the development and implementation of projects in Sub-Saharan Africa.

As of 2017, he took up the position of Zagope’s Vice President.

Graduated in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, in 1983, and with an  MBA in Project Management by Getúlio Vargas Foundation in Brazil, he began his career in the Andrade Gutierrez Group in 1983 as an Engineering Trainee.

JOSÉ TELES
Operational Executive

José Teles is the General Manager for the Algerian market of ZAGOPE and Andrade Gutierrez Engenharia, as well as for the local companies under the same management, being responsible for business development and project management in the field of infrastructure works.

José already had extensive experience in Europe and in several African countries, acquired during his 18 years in the company.

He has a degree in Civil Engineering from the Faculty of Science and Technology – Universidade Nova (Lisbon).

JÚLIO OLIVEIRA
Operational Executive

Júlio Oliveira is the Manager of Zagope’s Angolan market. He has more than 18 years of experience in the construction and public works sector, half of which spent in Angola.

He was involved in the most relevant Zagope projects in the port, road and airport infrastructure rehabilitation sectors, as well as in the energy generation sector, developing his activity in Portugal (Madeira Island and Lisbon Metropolitan Area), Mozambique (Maputo Province) and Angola.

He has a degree in Civil Engineering – Structures Area from New University of Lisbon – Faculty of Sciences and Technologies and a postgraduate degree in Business Management from ISCTE/INDEG.

RICARDO SÁ
Board of Directors

Ricardo Sá is a Member of the Board of Directors and Zagope’s Executive Vice-President and is responsible for business development and implementation of large infrastructure projects and industrial plants for private clients in Europe, Africa and Asia (Oil & Gas, Energy, Mining, Logistics, Steelmaking, Chemical / Petrochemical).

Prior to Zagope, Ricardo was the CEO of AG Private E&C, the global private client business unit at Andrade Gutierrez Group, responsible for business development and implementation of large infrastructure projects and industrial plants for private clients worldwide (Mining, Logistics, Steelmaking and Chemical / Petrochemical).

Prior to Andrade Gutierrez Group, Ricardo was the country manager for Brazil and Argentina at a Spanish multinational specialized in marketing solutions for financial institutions. Previously, he worked for international top management consulting firms specializing in growth strategies, business process redesign and PMO (Project Management Office).

Ricardo holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Universidade Salvador (Brazil), a MBA in International Business from Charles Sturt University (Australia) and specializations in Strategy from IMD Business School (Switzerland), Economic Studies from the University of New South Wales (Australia) and Negotiation from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA). He is fluent in portuguese, english and spanish.

FABIANO BRANDÃO
Operational Executive

Fabiano Brandão is Zagope’s Manager for the Mozambican market. Based in this country since 2016, he is responsible for business development and implementation of infrastructure projects.

Before Mozambique, Fabiano was Zagope’s Manager of Operations in Angola for 9 years and, therefore, has extensive experience in the implementation of different types of infrastructure projects in Africa.

Fabiano has a degree in Civil Engineering from FUMEC University (Brazil) and a degree in management, strategy and business from IBMEC (Brazilian Institute of Capital Markets).

FERNANDO MARIANO
Operational Executive

Fernando Mariano has been the Manager of the West African Market for Inzag Germany GmbH and Zagope’s Manager for the Ghana market since 2015.

Fernando has a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Uberaba, a master’s degree in Mechanical Systems from the Federal University of Uberlândia – Brazil. He has 20 years of experience in major infrastructure projects in Brazil and Africa.

He worked as a Project Work Manager in the Andrade Gutierrez Group for 8 years, in three different countries (Angola, Mozambique, Cameroon).

RODRIGO TARDELLI
Business Development Supervisor

Rodrigo Tardelli is responsible for business exploration and development with global private clients in the mining, transport, energy and oil and gas sectors of Zagope

He has a degree in Production Engineering from Fluminense Federal University . He began his career in the Andrade Gutierrez Group and underwent a training of 10 months, distributed across 4 of the operation countries of the group.

EDUARDO STRUVE
Operational Executive

Eduardo Struve has worked as Business Development Manager in Zagope in the Energy, Oil & Gas areas, for the markets of Europe, Africa and Asia, since 2016.

He was responsible for the development of energy opportunities in Africa for 2 years, being based in Johannesburg at the service of Andrade Gutierrez.

He has a degree in Administration,  from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), MBAs in Energy Business Management from the Getúlio Vargas/SP Foundation and in Marketing from the FGV/DF, with extension and improvement courses held in India and the United States.

NUNO COSTA
Operational Executive

Nuno Filipe Costa is Zagope’s Senegal Country Manager and is responsible for the development and implementation of major engineering projects, both in new African markets and in the Portuguese market, also taking up the position of Administrator in different Zagope participations.

Previously, he worked as Project Manager in different Contract Works and in the General Directorate of After-Sales Services in the Portuguese market. In addition to a degree in Civil Engineering, from  Instituto Superior Técnico, he also holds a master’s degree in Business Management from INDEG – ISCTE Business School.

GUILHERME SÁ
Operational Executive

Guilherme is the Business Development Manager for Zagope’s Private and Industrial Clients, with extensive international and multicultural experience gained in the B2B relationship in countries like Peru, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Spain and Portugal.

He joined the Andrade Gutierrez Group as a trainee. A few years later, he migrated to the commercial area of the company in the Old Industrial Business Unit specializing in private clients.

He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ – Brazil) and in Economics from the University of the State of Rio de Janeiro, (UFRJ, Brazil). Guilherme holds a postgraduate diploma in International Business Management from the Universidad del Pacífico (Lima, Peru), as well as training in Negotiation from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV/RJ) –Brazil) and from the MIT Sloan Executive Education.

ÓSCAR MARQUES
Operational Executive

Óscar Marques has been the Country Manager of AG Lebanon since April 2019, accumulating the role of Contractor Representative in the Jannah Dam Project in this market.

He joined the Andrade Gutierrez group in 2013 as Project Manager for the L5SP of São Paulo Metro, Brazil, working there until July 2017. For the past two years, he has been working as Construction Manager in the JANHAH Dam project in Lebanon.

Graduated in Civil Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon and E. S. T. I Caminos, Canales Y Puertos de Madrid, Óscar Marques has participated and led projects in multicultural environments, characterized by their complex and multidisciplinary nature, such as dams, underground works (road and metro), roads, railways, as well as energy projects.

CLAUDIO MONTEIRO
Corporate Executive

Cláudio Monteiro is the Technical Director of ZAGOPE and is responsible for engineering, bids, contract administration, negotiation and strategic processes.

He has extensive experience in major international infrastructure projects such as airports, ports, highways, dams, buildings and other projects in Portugal, the United States and Brazil.

Cláudio has a degree in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and graduated in extensive business and strategy studies from the IMD Business School, in Switzerland, and the University of Miami, USA.

MÁRCIA HENRIQUE
Corporate Executive

Márcia Henrique is Zagope’s Human Resources Manager and her duties include the management of the recruitment, training, wage processing, communication, facilities and information technology areas, focusing on all of the company’s markets.

Márcia began her career 8 years ago in Group Andrade Gutierrez as a civil engineer, working in some of the main projects of the Company. In 2016, she was transferred to Zagope to implement the Project Management Officer, a project focused on the implementation of Lean tools, with the aim of generating increased productivity.

She has a degree in Civil Engineering, a postgraduate degree in Project Management (UFRJ), and in Management and Performance Control (Lisbon). She also holds a master’s degree in Business Management from INDEG-ISCTE Business School and an MBA in Lean Global Network.

BRUNO MENICUCCI
Corporate Executive

Bruno is responsible for the area of Export Financing and Investments in Zagope, which includes financing for clients in project works in Africa and the exploration of New Businesses in the Infrastructure segment in Europe.

He worked for 10 years as an executive at Andrade Gutierrez Investments, where he was responsible for exploring new businesses in Brazil and abroad, in the sectors of energy, transport, gas, ports and sanitation.

He has a Degree in Production Engineering from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (Brazil), an Executive MBA from Dom Cabral Foundation, a Postgraduation in Business Law and an International Business Course from Yale University (USA).

MARGARIDA DAMIÃO
Corporate Executive

Margarida Damião Ferreira is the Legal and Compliance Manager of Zagope.

With 15 years of professional experience, she is responsible for the whole legal management of the company’s operation in the European, African and Asian continents, contributing to the definition of its strategy and ensuring the legality of activities  in all companies belonging to Zagope group.

Margarida has a master’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from Catholic University, with postgraduate degrees in fields of Law, such as Urban Planning and Building and Land Management Tools (Law School of Coimbra), Public Procurement (Law School of Lisbon), and also a Postgraduation in Legal Journalism (CENJOR). She graduated in Law from New University of Lisbon in 2002 and was admitted to the Portuguese Bar Association in 2005.

ANDRÉ GIUDICE
Corporate Executive

André Giudice is Zagope’s CFO and is responsible for corporate finance, accounting, tax, internal auditing and controllership.

Prior to his position at Zagope, André took up the position of responsible for debt-related operations at the holding company of the Andrade Gutierrez group and has previously engaged in functions of financial modeling and structuring of public-private partnership projects for the group.

André has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Catholic Pontifical University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) and a master’s degree in Finance from PUC-Rio.

REINALDO IZZO
Corporate Executive

Reinaldo Izzo has been Zagope’s Supply Chain Manager since 2018. He joined the Andrade Gutierrez Group in 2012 as Superintendent of Remuneration and Corporate Governance.

Graduated in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo, he also holds a postgraduate degree in Business Administration from Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV-SP) and an MBA in Management from the IBMEC-RJ. Reinaldo Izzo has built his career experience in leadership positions in areas such as infrastructure project planning, project management consulting, supplies, corporate governance and strategic planning.
