The project work of the Double Tunnel of Caniçal is part of the Expressway Machico/Caniçal, in Madeira Island in Portugal, and extends the expressways Funchal/Airport and Airport/Machico. The total extension of the section is approximately 2.210meters and the Double Tunnel of Caniçal is 2.100 meters. The contract works also included the embankment of Ribeira do Natal and the respective hydraulic passage, in order to enable the access to the east portal of the tunnel.
