Zagope has just officially inaugurated the PV Douro Solar Power Plant, located in Tarouca, in the heart of the Douro Valley. With an installed capacity of 150 MWp, this is the company's first photovoltaic project and it already stands out as one of the largest solar plants in Europe.
The new infrastructure will produce around 230 GWh of clean energy per year - enough to power 76 thousand homes - while preventing the emission of 82 thousand tons of CO₂e annually.
This project marks Zagope's entry into the renewable energy sector and strengthens the company's commitment to sustainability and innovation in infrastructures.
