Preliminary Earthworks for Ameixoeira Station

The Ameixoeira Station is part of an urban area that is undergoing a consolidation process and, for that reason, the Architect Coordinating the Project, Robert Mac Fadden, believed it was fundamental to “arrange its accesses so as to attend to all current and future needs, ensuring good accessibility”.
Underground Station, with execution of a circular shaft with 40 meters of diameter and 38 meters deep. Execution of the tunnel using the NATM method, vault section with 18-meters wide and 12-meters high.
