NAIM DANJI
Head of Structured Finance & New Businesses
Naim Danji is the Head of Structured Finance & New Businesses responsible for structuring financing and originating new projects in Europe and Africa.
He joined Zagope in 2017 to take on the role of leveraging the structuring of projects funding in emerging markets.
With consolidated experience of over 12 years in Europe and Africa, Naim was linked to the Big4 both as a Consultant in the Transactions area at EY Portugal, and as Project Manager to establish the Corporate Finance area at KPMG Mozambique. He was also Manager in the Investment Consulting area at Eaglestone Advisory in Portugal.
Naim has a degree in Economics with a Msc. in Business Administration from ISCTE Business School and is also certified in ECA Finance by CC Solutions & Finpliance.
RICARDO CONFRARIA
Head of Management Control
With a degree in Business Management and working for Zagope since 2010, Ricardo Confraria is the Corporate Controller of Zagope – Engineering & Construction.
In a career of over 20 years linked to construction companies, he assumed responsibilities in various disciplines of the financial and management area, namely: coordination of the areas of Control and Management and Strategic Planning, responsible for internal audit and accounting area, administrative and financial management of different ventures of the Zagope Group in addition to Project Manager in various disciplines.
ÉLVIO GONCALVES
Head of Treasury
Élvio Goncalves has a degree in Management from the University of Madeira and a Master’s degree in Management and Industrial Strategy from ISEG.
He began his professional activity at Zagope in 2012, when he joined the SAP System Implementation Project at Zagope Group, collaborating in the definition of new processes, configuration and training of the SAP system in the accounting and financial areas.
After working in the group’s units in Latin America in 2015, he returned to Portugal as Project Manager in the areas of accounting and treasury for process optimization. As of 2018 he leads the global treasury area of the Zagope group.
The implementation of the SAP system and working in various areas within the accounting and financial team provided him with a transversal know-how of the company’s processes, as well as technical knowledge about the areas of operation.
EDUARDO LOPES
Head of HR
Eduardo has an undergraduate and a master’s degree in Management. He began his career at EY in 2012, which allowed him to acquire experience in large projects and in various sectors, covering all corporate areas, with emphasis on the participation in projects for the European Central Bank (ECB) and International Monetary Fund (IMF) in the financial services area.
He joined Zagope in 2015, with the goal of developing the Tax department and where he articulated and optimized processes between the head office and the other business units, located not only in Europe, but also in Africa and the Middle East.
In the course of his career at Zagope, he took over in 2018 the coordination and development of the Human Resources department, where he is currently Head of the area.
PAULO ESTRELA
Head of QSE
Paulo Estrela has a degree in Biophysical Engineering – Environmental Planning and Management from the University of Évora and is a full member of the Society of Chartered Engineers, and is specialized in Occupational Safety Engineering, Audits and Management of Integrated Systems and Sustainability.
He started his activity in 2006 as Quality Engineer in the implementation of integrated quality, environment, health and safety management systems in the industrial area.
In 2007 he joined the management team for the construction of the solar plant of Moura in Amareleja as Quality Engineer. He also worked in the construction of the paper mill in Setúbal as an Occupational Safety Engineer.
In 2009 he joined Zagope as Quality Engineer in Angola, later becoming market coordinator of the Quality, Environment, Occupational Health and Safety department.
In 2014 he takes on the role as coordinator of the quality, environment, health and occupational safety department at the head office in Lisbon for the markets in Europe, Asia and Africa.
Working in several markets and the experience acquired in different types of projects allowed him to acquire an extensive experience in the implementation, management and improvement of the integrated management system of Quality, Environment, and Occupational Health and Safety.
MARGARIDA PEDROSO
Head of Insurance and Bonds
Margarida Pedroso has been responsible for Zagope’s Insurance & Warranties Area since October 2022.
With 19 years of professional experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry, she has extensive experience in designing insurance programs for infrastructure construction projects and coordinates the definition of risk policies in the various geographies in which Zagope operates.
She has a degree in Social and Cultural Communication from Universidade Católica Portuguesa, and a postgraduate degree from AESE Business School, where she attended the 16th MLP – Management and Leadership Program.
LUÍS GOMES, CESGA
Head of Corporate Finance
Luís has extensive experience in the financial services industry, namely in the banking and financial advisory sectors, having participated in corporate transactions, financing structuring, and debt negotiation and restructuring projects.
Before joining Zagope, Luís worked with venture capital and private equity funds and was an Associate Director in the M&A Advisory team at Clearwater International, where he had the opportunity to lead sell-side and buy-side mandates for Portuguese SMEs and participated in several M&A transactions. Prior to that, Luís was a senior consultant in Deloitte’s corporate finance team, focused primarily on financial sector services.
Luís has a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Católica-Lisbon and a degree in Management, he also holds an Executive Master’s in Sustainable Finance from ISEG, and is a CESGA Certified ESG Analyst.
CLÁUDIO SÁ
Head of Tax & Accouting
Cláudio Sá has a degree in Management and a Master’s in Finance, specializing in financial institutions, both from Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão (ISEG). He also has a number of other academic trainings and certifications in reference technical areas.
He began his professional activity in 2009 in investment banking at Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria. In 2011, he joined EY in the consulting area, with emphasis on the participation in projects for the European Central Bank (ECB) and International Monetary Fund (IMF) in the financial services area, having also worked in the international consulting area of PwC.
In 2014, he joined Zagope, where he has since led the Tax area for the whole Zagope Group, having throughout his career accumulated leadership of the Accounting, Consolidation and Reporting area.
The various professional experiences accumulated throughout his career have allowed him to acquire a vast knowledge of the areas he leads, both on a national and international level.
PEDRO MONTEIRO
Head of Supply Chain
With over 20 years of experience in Supply Chain, particularly to and from Africa, he joined Zagope in 2006 to work in the Procurement and Logistics area, and took over the management of the Department in 2008. From 2015 to 2018 he was also part of Project Management, in the equipment and logistics area, a project that aimed to optimize the management of equipment through the application of Lean concepts and tools.
He has a degree in Economics from Instituto Superior de Gestão (Higher Institute of Economics and Management), University of Lisbon, and a post-graduate degree in Management Control and Performance (Overgest-ISCTE) and in Logistics (Instituto Superior de Gestão – Higher Management Institute).
NUNO PALMA
Head of Equipment’s
Nuno Palma has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Coimbra.
He began his professional activity at Zagope in 2003 at the central yard in Palmela, supporting the maintenance of the equipment fleet. In 2005, he started his international experience, as maintenance manager of some projects in Angola and later as equipment director of that market. From 2013 to 2016 he was responsible for Zagope’s equipment in Algeria. He then moved to the company’s head office, where he took over as equipment manager, a position he still holds today.
Working in different types of projects allowed him get extensive experience and technical knowledge about a wide range of machines, vehicles and industrial equipment, as well as mastery in fleet management.
JORGE BASTO
Portugal
Jorge Basto is a Member of Zagope’s Board of Directors and is responsible for the business development and implementation of infrastructure projects in Portugal.
Before joining Zagope, he had the opportunity to develop and implement several large-scale infrastructure projects and industrial units.
Jorge has a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Coimbra – Faculty of Science and Technology (Portugal) and has several specializations in construction planning and management.
ANTÓNIO MÁRIO
Ghana, Senegal and Uganda
António Mário is Member of Zagope’s Board of Directors and responsible for the development and implementation of projects in Ghana, Senegal and Uganda.
As of 2017, he took up the position of Zagope’s Vice President.
Graduated in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, in 1983, and with an MBA in Project Management by Getúlio Vargas Foundation in Brazil, he began his career in the Andrade Gutierrez Group in 1983 as an Engineering Trainee.
JOSÉ TELES
Country Manager Mozambique
José Teles is the General Manager for the Mozambicain market of ZAGOPE and Andrade Gutierrez Engenharia, being responsible for business development and project management in the field of infrastructure works.
José already had extensive experience in Europe and in several African countries, acquired during his 18 years in the company.
He has a degree in Civil Engineering from the Faculty of Science and Technology – Universidade Nova (Lisbon).
JÚLIO OLIVEIRA
Country Manager Angola
Júlio Oliveira is the Manager of Zagope’s Angolan market. He has more than 18 years of experience in the construction and public works sector, half of which spent in Angola.
He was involved in the most relevant Zagope projects in the port, road and airport infrastructure rehabilitation sectors, as well as in the energy generation sector, developing his activity in Portugal (Madeira Island and Lisbon Metropolitan Area), Mozambique (Maputo Province) and Angola.
He has a degree in Civil Engineering – Structures Area from New University of Lisbon – Faculty of Sciences and Technologies and a postgraduate degree in Business Management from ISCTE/INDEG.

Ricardo Sá is President & CEO of Zagope, Chairman of the Board of Directors of INZAG Germany GmbH and member of the Ethics & Compliance Committee of Andrade Gutierrez Group.
Before taking up his current duties in Zagope and INZAG, Ricardo was Executive Vice President of Zagope, responsible for business development and implementation of infrastructure projects and industrial plants for private clients in Europe, Asia and the Middle East (Oil & Gas, Energy, Mining, Logistics, Chemical/Petrochemical).
Prior to Zagope, Ricardo Sá was CEO of the Business Unit of Andrade Gutierrez Group, responsible for the development and implementation of infrastructure projects and industrial units for private clients worldwide (Mining, Logistics, Steel, Chemical/Petrochemical).
Before joining Andrade Gutierrez Group, Ricardo was Country Manager for Brazil and Argentina of a Spanish multinational operating in the financial market and previously worked in international consulting for the high management of large corporations in operational efficiency projects, management models and growth strategies.
Ricardo holds a degree in Business Administration from Salvador University (Brazil), an MBA in International Business from Charles Sturt University (Australia) and specializations in Strategy from IMD Business School (Switzerland), Economic Studies from the University of New South Wales (Australia) and Negotiation from MIT – Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA). He is fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish.
FABIANO BRANDÃO
Africa
Fabiano Brandão is Executive Vice President of the Zagope Group and is responsible for the business development and implementation of infrastructure projects in Africa. He is also an effective member of the Global Ethics and Compliance Committee of the Andrade Gutierrez Group.
He has more than 20 years of consolidated experience in the implementation of infrastructure and engineering projects, for Public and Private clients, and he has worked as an expatriate in the last 15 years, directly linked to the implementation and execution of infrastructure projects in African markets.
Before taking on the role of Executive VP of Zagope, he led the market of Mozambique as Country Manager, and managed operations in the market of Angola as Director of Operations.
Fabiano has a degree in Civil Engineering from FUMEC University (Brazil) and a degree in management, strategy and business from IBMEC (Brazilian Institute of Capital Markets).
FERNANDO MARIANO
Country Manager Ghana
Fernando Mariano is the Director of the West Africa Market of INZAG Germany GmbH and the Zagope Director of the Ghana Market since 2015.
Fernando has a degree in Civil Engineering by the University of Uberaba, with a master’s degree in Mechanical Systems by the Federal University of Uberlândia – Brazil. He has over 24 years of experience in large infrastructure projects, in Brazil and in Africa.
He has been working in Africa for the Andrade Gutierrez Group for 15 years, in 4 countries: Angola, Cameroon, Mozambique and Ghana. He is fluent in Portuguese, English, French and Spanish.
RODRIGO TARDELLI
Contract Manager in Mozambique
Rodrigo Tardelli is responsible for LNG projects in Mozambique.
He has a degree in Production Engineering from Fluminense Federal University . He began his career in the Andrade Gutierrez Group and underwent a training of 10 months, distributed across 4 of the operation countries of the group.
EDUARDO STRUVE
Director of Business Development
Eduardo Struve is the Director of Business Development, responsible for the development and implementation of Energy, Oil & Gas and Infrastructure projects.
Previously, Eduardo was responsible for opportunity development in the Energy area in Africa, for Andrade Gutierrez. Since 2016, he has been occupying a position at Zagope, in Portugal.
He has a degree in Management from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), MBAs in Energy Business Management from the Getúlio Vargas/SP Foundation and in Marketing from the FGV/DF, with extension and improvement courses held in India and the United States.
NUNO COSTA
Country Manager Senegal
Nuno Filipe Costa is Zagope’s Senegal Country Manager and is responsible for the development and implementation of major engineering projects, both in new African markets and in the Portuguese market, also taking up the position of Administrator in different Zagope participations.
Previously, he worked as Project Manager in different Contract Works and in the General Directorate of After-Sales Services in the Portuguese market. In addition to a degree in Civil Engineering, from Instituto Superior Técnico, he also holds a master’s degree in Business Management from INDEG – ISCTE Business School.
GUILHERME SÁ
Business Development Manager
Guilherme is the Business Development Manager for Zagope’s Private and Industrial Clients, with extensive international and multicultural experience gained in the B2B relationship in countries like Peru, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Spain and Portugal.
He joined the Andrade Gutierrez Group as a trainee. A few years later, he migrated to the commercial area of the company in the Old Industrial Business Unit specializing in private clients.
He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ – Brazil) and in Economics from the University of the State of Rio de Janeiro, (UFRJ, Brazil). Guilherme holds a postgraduate diploma in International Business Management from the Universidad del Pacífico (Lima, Peru), as well as training in Negotiation from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV/RJ) –Brazil) and from the MIT Sloan Executive Education.
ÓSCAR MARQUES
Lisbon Metro Contract Manager
Óscar Marques is the Contract Manager of the Lisbon Metro Project.
He joined the Andrade Gutierrez Group in 2013 as Project Manager of L5SP of the Metro of São Paulo, Brazil, until July 2017, and in the four years that followed he worked as Construction Manager of the project JANHAH Dam and as Country Manager of Lebanon.
Graduated in Civil Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon and E. S. T. I Caminos, Canales Y Puertos de Madrid, Óscar Marques has participated and led projects in multicultural environments, characterized by their complex and multidisciplinary nature, such as dams, underground works (road and metro), roads, railways, as well as energy projects.
CLAUDIO MONTEIRO
Lebanon; Supply Chain and Equipment
Cláudio Monteiro is the Director of Supply Chain and Equipment, responsible for the development and implementation of projects in Lebanon.
He has extensive experience in major international infrastructure projects such as airports, ports, highways, dams, buildings and other projects in Portugal, the United States and Brazil.
Cláudio has a degree in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and graduated in extensive business and strategy studies from the IMD Business School, in Switzerland, and the University of Miami, USA.
MÁRCIA HENRIQUE
Human Resources and Quality, Safety and Environment
Márcia Henrique is Zagope’s Human Resources and Quality, Safety and Environment Manager and her duties include the management of the recruitment, training, wage processing, communication, facilities and information technology areas, focusing on all of the company’s markets.
Márcia began her career 8 years ago in Group Andrade Gutierrez as a civil engineer, working in some of the main projects of the Company. In 2016, she was transferred to Zagope to implement the Project Management Officer, a project focused on the implementation of Lean tools, with the aim of generating increased productivity.
She has a degree in Civil Engineering, a postgraduate degree in Project Management (UFRJ), and in Management and Performance Control (Lisbon). She also holds a master’s degree in Business Management from INDEG-ISCTE Business School and an MBA in Lean Global Network.
BRUNO MENICUCCI
Strategy and Investment Director
Bruno is responsible for the Strategy and Investments area at Zagope, which comprises all matters ranging from the Strategic Planning of the company to the control and management of operations. The investment area is responsible for evaluating projects beyond Engineering and Construction, related to Infrastructure, including M&A opportunities.
He worked for 10 years as an executive at Andrade Gutierrez Investments, where he was responsible for exploring new businesses in Brazil and abroad, in the sectors of energy, transport, gas, ports and sanitation. He was an active member of the Board of Directors of CEMIG (integrated energy company of Minas Gerais, responsible for 12% of the energy distributed in Brazil) for 7 years.
He holds a degree in Production Engineering from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (Brazil), an executive MBA from Fundação Dom Cabral, a specialization in international business from Yale University (USA) and a postgraduate degree in Business Law.
MARGARIDA DAMIÃO
Legal, Compliance and Internal Audit
Margarida Damião Ferreira is Member of Zagope’s Board of Directors and Director of the Legal, Compliance and Internal Audit area.
With 15 years of professional experience, she is responsible for the whole legal management of the company’s operation in the European, African and Asian continents, contributing to the definition of its strategy and ensuring the legality of activities in all companies belonging to Zagope group.
Margarida has a master’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from Catholic University, with postgraduate degrees in fields of Law, such as Urban Planning and Building and Land Management Tools (Law School of Coimbra), Public Procurement (Law School of Lisbon), and also a Postgraduation in Legal Journalism (CENJOR). She graduated in Law from New University of Lisbon in 2002 and was admitted to the Portuguese Bar Association in 2005.
ANDRÉ GIUDICE
CFO
André Giudice is an Executive Board Member and CFO of Zagope, in charge of the corporate and export finance, accounting and tax departments.
André joined the Group in 2012 and prior to his position at Zagope was in charge of financial transactions at the holding company of the Andrade Gutierrez Group, the structuring of public private partnerships projects and M&A operations in Latin America.
André has a bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Master´s degree in Finance from Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio).
EMERSON EMERY
Engineering
Emerson Emery is Director of Engineering at Zagope and is responsible for the area of development of engineering project studies and bids.
He joined the Andrade Gutierrez Group in 1996 as an trainee and, throughout his career, he took over the positions of engineering manager and contract director in infrastructure project works. In 2013, he took over the engineering superintendency for studies in infrastructure projects.
Emerson Emery holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of São Paulo, has a specialization in project management from the Department of Production Engineering of the University of São Paulo, an Executive MBA from Ibemc São Paulo and completed with honors a Postgraduate Degree in Infrastructure Project Management from the University of Liverpool (UK).
TIAGO LEAL
Director of Business Development
Tiago Leal is a Business Development Director at Zagope and is responsible for the development of Renewable Energy projects.
He joined the Andrade Gutierrez Group as a Trainee, and after going through a 10-month training program in 4 of the countries where the group operates, he worked several years as a business developer in the Thermal Generation area of the Energy Business Unit.
In 2018, he participated in the negotiation and signing of the construction contract for the ANG Thermoelectric Complex – Açu Natural Gas – in the state of Rio de Janeiro, one of the most relevant projects of the group in the recent past.
Tiago Leal has an integrated master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Aveiro, a Post-Graduate Degree in Business Financial and Fiscal Management from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra, an MBA with merit from Hult International Business School, Boston, USA, and a specialization in Innovation and Strategy from Harvard Extension School, Boston, USA. He is fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish.
