Main characteristics:
Works have been developed observing the operation and functioning of the airport, within hours that caused less impact on regular services and in accordance with the Airport Standards regarding clearance surfaces, lighting levels, signaling, communication and safety. The extension of the airport runway was extraordinarily large, and the International Association of Bridges and Structural Engineering bestowed it the Outstanding Structure Award, assigned to large engineering works recognized worldwide.
