Lezírias Bridge

Main characteristics:
Construction of a new bridge for the crossing of river Tejo, connecting Carregado to Benavente, 40 km from Lisbon, Portugal. It is 973 meters long and it has four traffic lanes and access viaducts with 10,6 km long. The project work was designed to expand the road flow of the region, without hindering agricultural activities. The concern about not harming the environment and not affecting the local communities was one of the biggest challenges, and there were studies of environmental impact that were elaborated and approved.
